The 2010 Edition of The Christian Harmony combines William Walker’s 1873 revision of his original work with the 1958 Deason-Parris revision (2002 printing). These books are known informally today as the “Carolina book” and the “Alabama book.” The 2010 Edition contains all songs from the 2002 printing of the Alabama book (first and mostly in their original order). All (approximately) 202 songs from the Carolina book removed during the Alabama revision follow. A few songs from living authors are included at the end. A total of 672 songs are presented, all using Jesse Aikin’s shape notes. The entire book, including all songs and the Rudiments, has been newly typeset in the traditional.
